OnStar Vehicle Diagnostics2 now brings even greater peace of mind to OnStar
subscribers.
This GM-exclusive service — a standard feature of OnStar's Safe & Sound Plan
— automatically runs hundreds of diagnostic checks on key systems and then
sends a personalized monthly e-mail report. Subscribers who sign up receive
information about their vehicle's engine and/or transmission, emission, air
bag, antilock braking and OnStar systems as well as their vehicle's
remaining oil life, tire pressure monitoring status and OnStar account.
Beginning this year, the list of diagnostic checks is being expanded to
include StabiliTrak® — a standard feature on many 2009 Saturn models.
OnStar Vehicle Diagnostics also expands its connection to your retailer,
making it even easier to take care of your maintenance needs. Although it
has always offered a retailer link, you can now enroll in Dealer Maintenance
Notification to have an alert sent to your preferred retailer and let them
know that your vehicle needs service. Your retailer's service department can
call you to set an appointment.
While subscribers have long praised OnStar Vehicle Diagnostics for providing
peace of mind before they hit the road, it's just one of several features
available with OnStar's Safe & Sound Plan. These include:

crash, built-in sensors in your Saturn automatically alert an OnStar
Advisor. The Advisor can then connect to your vehicle and ask whether you
need assistance. Even if you're unable to respond, the Advisor can request
emergency help be sent to your location using GPS technology.

In addition, with your first year of OnStar, your Safe & Sound Plan includes
one trial route of Turn-by-Turn Navigation.7 Just push the blue OnStar
button, tell the Advisor where you want to go and directions will be sent to
your vehicle. As you're driving, voice-guided directions tell you when to
make the next turn. Turn-by-Turn Navigation can be added to most vehicles by
signing up for the Directions & Connections service for an additional fee.
